A Slot Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the successful operation of a casino shift by supervising, training, and guiding slot hosts while ensuring guests have a positive gaming and entertainment experience. This role requires strict adherence to Laguna Development Corporation (LDC) core values, policies, and all gaming regulations, including those set by the Pueblo of Laguna Gaming Control Board and federal/state authorities.

The supervisor manages both technical and administrative functions, such as distributing sensitive keys, determining payouts, monitoring slot fills, handling employee scheduling, addressing variances, and maintaining departmental budgets. They are accountable for protecting company assets by ensuring proper bank handling procedures, verifying jackpots, overseeing machine resets, and maintaining necessary logs (e.g., progressive, MTL, override, and taxable logs). The position also involves performing complex calculations, observing slot floor activity, assisting players, addressing guest complaints professionally, and maintaining knowledge of machine operations, casino services, and promotions.

In addition to operational responsibilities, the Slot Supervisor plays a key leadership role by fostering teamwork, maintaining a positive work environment, and building employee and guest relationships through professional and engaging interactions. They schedule staff to meet customer service needs, conduct meetings, participate in leadership development programs, and work under pressure with flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. The job requires basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), use of tools such as calculators, Kronos, and money carts, and the ability to meet physical demands like lifting 50+ lbs.,

standing, walking, and repetitive motion tasks. Mental demands include problem-solving, planning, decision-making, and data interpretation. Supervisory duties include training, scheduling, directing work, evaluating performance, and recommending disciplinary or salary actions (excluding termination). Candidates typically have a high school diploma or GED (preferred), 0–1 year of relevant or leadership experience, and prior casino experience is preferred. The work environment is indoors with exposure to noise and smoke, and additional requirements include obtaining a gaming license, maintaining Title 31 certification, and passing pre-employment screenings.
