Student Experience Specialist

New Mexico State University Global Campus seeks a New Student Experience Specialist to engage prospective students by conducting outreach campaigns, responding to inquiries, scheduling appointments with Admissions Representatives, and maintaining accurate records in Slate to support the enrollment process and provide an exceptional student experience. Location:

Remote; this position is open only to candidates who reside in New Mexico.

Compensation: $16.83 per hour. Full‑time equivalent: 1.0.

Work schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm (standard).

• Provide daily updates in Slate to record interactions with student leads.
• Proactively respond to prospective student inquiries and schedule appointments for admission representatives following established communication plan guidelines and protocol.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

• High school diploma and at least 1 year of relevant experience, or a higher degree.
• Technical connectivity requirements: a stable, low‑latency internet connection suitable for continuous voice communications; wired Ethernet strongly preferred. Equivalent wired or business‑grade connections may be acceptable. Consumer Wi‑Fi only is not accepted.

• Work performed in a typical interior office environment.
• No or very limited physical effort required.
• Lifting requirements: handling average‑weight objects up to 10 pounds; some standing or walking.
• Risk: no or very limited exposure to physical risk.
