Position SummaryResponsible for greeting and responding to guests’ betting requests regarding sports book bets, current, ongoing, and upcoming promotions and special events while promoting and exhibiting World Class Guest Service to all Isleta Resort and Casino employees and guests.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome.
- Use a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate action and provide accurate bets; confirm or clarify guest bets before they leave the ticket window.
- Handle guest betting requests in a calm, professional, and prudent manner.
- Maintain close ties with customers to engender loyalty.
- Anticipate, respond to and consistently meet or exceed the needs of guests.
- Provide timely, accurate information and service; take initiative to find answers when unsure.
- Enter betting information correctly into the computer.
- Verify winning tickets for guests.
- Maintain and verify a cash bank.
- Accept money and give sports tickets to guests.
- Maintain and update betting sheets.
- Create and process new guest member profiles in the Player’s Club computer and data systems.
- Promote positive guest relations through prompt, courteous, and efficient service.
- Ensure an open and welcoming atmosphere that promotes skill enhancement.
- Give basic instruction on all promotions and special events, as requested.
- Occasionally perform duties of subordinates and other duties as needed.

Accountability and Supervision- None
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, preferred.
- Three (3) months consecutive cash handling experience, preferred.
- Must be able to acquire and maintain Gaming License issued through POIGRA.
- Must successfully pass a pre‑employment drug test and background investigation.
- Must be flexible with work schedule, willing to work any days/hours as needed to meet business needs.
- Must maintain all Isleta Resort and Casino-wide educational and certification requirements.
- Positive attitude toward internal and external guests at all times.
- Ability to take direction well.
- Strong computer skills, able to operate Player Rating System applications and software.
- Accuracy and composure performing tasks under high levels of stress with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication in English; ability to defuse hostile guest situations.
- Basic mathematics skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Highly developed customer service and interpersonal skills with integrity and respect for individuals.
- Strong commitment to organizational goals, discretion, and loyalty when handling confidential information.
- Strong critical and analytical thinking skills.
- Flexibility to work a varying schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift, move, and place 25 pounds.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
Work is generally performed in a casino setting with exposure to second‑hand smoke and a high noise level, and a high‑paced office setting. Occasionally may be required to interact with hostile and/or angry guests.
