Responsible for assisting the Sports book Manager in the day‑to‑day operations of the Sports book, providing excellent guest service, coaching Team Members, and ensuring compliance with all departmental policies and procedures. The philosophy is built on integrity, fairness, collaboration, communication, and recognition for performance excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Monitors and supervises Sports book staff for adherence to company policies, procedures, Title 31, minimum internal control standards, and applicable regulations.
- Creates staff schedules, maintains time and attendance records, ensures adherence to labor levels and approved FTEs.
- Administers Team Member documentation and training, notifies management of prevalent or escalated issues.
- Verifies cash drawers, completes reports, rates casino guest activity, monitors for suspicious activity.
- Closes out sports book ticket writers at shift end and transfers all money to the cage.
- Prepares and stocks daily odds sheets.
- Properly documents and enters Title 31 transactions.
- Manages enrollment, financial transactions, and clerical tasks for mobile device wagering application.
- Approves over‑limit wagers and low‑limit comps as permitted.
- Sells Sports book wagers to guests as needed.
- Leads by example, demonstrating and executing guest service standards with guests and Team Members.
- Explains wagering rules, betting lines, odds, and procedures to guests.
- Ensures protection of guest rewards and adherence to credit lines.
- Notifies management and leadership team of escalated guest issues and suspicious activity.
- Ensures compliance with currency transaction requirements, Title 31, and money laundering and Suspicious Activity Reporting for Casinos (SARC) requirements.
- Maintains a safe work environment, identifies safety hazards, and upholds department, company, and community reputation.
- Performs other job‑related duties as requested.
Skills and Abilities

Education and Experience
- Required:
High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent; three (3) years of gaming experience; two (2) years of supervisory experience; minimum age 21. - Preferred:
Sports book experience; experience in a resort environment.
- Must obtain and maintain the required STGC Gaming License.
- Pre‑employment and random drug screening required.
- Balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, finger dexterity, grasping, hearing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, seeing, walking, sitting, standing, stooping, talking.
- Work performed indoors; duties may involve walking, standing for long periods, sitting, and crouching.
- Potential hazards include smoke, common colds, influenza, dust, odors, elevated noise levels, and large crowds.
