The Slot Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the successful operation of each shift by supervising, training, and supporting slot staff while delivering an exceptional gaming and entertainment experience for guests. This role requires adherence to Laguna Development Corporation (LDC) core values, policies, and procedures, maintaining professionalism, punctuality, and positive relationships with customers and coworkers. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily technical and administrative operations such as managing sensitive keys, determining payouts, monitoring fills, addressing variances, scheduling staff, handling employee time-off requests, maintaining department budgets and labor costs, and conducting regular team meetings.

The supervisor safeguards company assets by verifying jackpots, monitoring employee banks, balancing funds, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring slot machines are properly reset. Additionally, the position requires knowledge of slot rules, internal controls, tribal, federal, and state gaming regulations, as well as the ability to handle guest complaints professionally, maintain required logs and records, perform complex arithmetic calculations, monitor slot activity, assist players, and troubleshoot minor machine malfunctions.

The role also emphasizes building strong guest relationships through personalized service, teamwork, and fostering a positive work environment. The Slot Supervisor must maintain comprehensive knowledge of casino services, promotions, events, and amenities while providing accurate guest assistance. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED preferred, with 0-1 year of relevant experience demonstrating leadership in a slot department or prior management experience;

casino experience is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Kronos, calculators, and money carts is required. The position involves significant physical demands, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting and carrying 50+ pounds, and working indoors with exposure to loud noise and cigarette smoke. Strong problem-solving, planning, decision-making, data interpretation, reading, and writing skills are essential. Supervisory responsibilities include training, scheduling, assigning work, directing employees, evaluating productivity, and recommending performance actions.

Additional requirements include completing the Supervisory Development Leadership Series (SDLS) annually, obtaining and maintaining a Pueblo of Laguna gaming license, complying with Title 31 certification requirements under the Bank Secrecy Act, passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, and working flexible schedules that may include nights, weekends, holidays, and unusual hours
