This is a full-time, role based in Albuquerque, NM, for an Associate Financial Advisor. The Associate Financial Advisor will assist in developing financial plans, managing investments, and providing advisory services tailored to clients' specific needs. Key responsibilities include conducting financial analyses, assisting clients with retirement planning, offering investment advice, and supporting senior advisors in achieving client financial goals.
The Associate Advisor supports the creation, execution, and monitoring of clients’ financial strategy through direct client interaction, paperwork processing, and behind-the-scenes coordination with other team members to deliver a premium client service. This position requires knowledge of the core tenets of financial planning, experience in a planning support role, and the ability to interact with clients at a high level. The Associate Advisor demonstrates grace under pressure, a positive attitude, and the ability to handle a heavy workload.
OutcomeA successful Associate Advisor will:
- Leverage Lead Advisor time by assuming ownership of client preparation, follow-through, and execution.
- Ensure a consistent, premium client experience.
- Maintain strong operational controls.
- Support compliance coordination and reporting.
- Develop skills for long-term career progression.
- Coordinate with Senior Advisors to determine client strategy and financial plan development.
- Gather client data and populate/update client financial plans for review.
- Actively identify financial planning workflow improvements and advise financial planners as necessary.
- Work with Senior Advisors to prepare insurance proposals and quotes based on client needs for all lines of coverage, including life, disability income, and long-term care insurance.
- Prepare recommendations based on client needs, goals, and objectives, with oversight from a senior planner.
- Participate in client meetings as requested, prepare a summary and direct action items.
- Primary day‑to‑day client contact.
- Prepare and coordinate all client meetings.
- Conduct client signing meetings as directed.
- Process service requests and elevate issues.
- Maintain proactive client communication.
- Own CRM workflows and data integrity.
- Coordinate with custodians and partners.
- Prepare and process account paperwork.
- Monitor and process distributions.
- Support billing and reporting.
- Recommend workflow improvements.
- Support audits and recordkeeping.
- Maintain regulatory documentation.
- Coordinate with compliance partners.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Participate in prospect meetings.
- Support marketing and client events.
- Act as internal liaison.
- Provide executive support as needed.
