- Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team.
- Provide financial insight, analysis, and recommendations to support growth, capital planning, and long‑term strategy.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and multi‑year financial planning processes across both entities.
- Oversee the preparation, accuracy, and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month‑end close.
- Ensure consistent financial policies, controls, and reporting standards across Optimum and SWWO.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support operational and strategic needs.
- Oversee banking relationships, financing strategies, and capital allocation decisions.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks, including insurance coverage.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, CMS regulations, HIPAA, and federal and state healthcare financial laws.
- Partner with clinical and administrative leaders to monitor revenue cycle performance, including billing, collections, and reimbursements.
- Oversee audits, tax planning, and regulatory reporting.
- Evaluate, implement, and optimize financial systems, tools, and internal controls.
- Improve reporting efficiency, visibility, and decision support through data and dashboards.
- Maintain and enhance accounting systems (e.g., Quick Books Online) and financial models.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team.
- Set clear expectations, build strong processes, and foster accountability.
- Serve as a trusted leader across the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior executive-level responsibility.
- Proven experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or Director of Finance in a healthcare setting.
- Deep knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, payer mix, revenue cycle management, and regulatory requirements.
