The primary purpose of the Credit Manager is to be the administrator and enforcer of the company credit policy. This position is responsible for the overall management of the Credit Department, including development and improvement of the operational goals of the department and the staffing, training, and development of the department staff.
Responsibilities- Represent Ben
E. Keith with professionalism, maintain a positive attitude and follow dress code - Set up customer accounts in the People Soft computer system
- Analyze credit applications for credit worthiness
- Approve customer credit terms for the branch and maintain customer credit files
- Oversee problem accounts to ensure collection activity is consistent with credit policy and that collections are made timely and within credit terms
- Explain corporate credit policy to all sales representatives, including the sales representative’s written acknowledgement of said credit policy
- Prepare and manage the monthly credit call process and prepare an actual and potential bad debt report
- Enforce credit policy matters such as late DSR collection deductions and bad debt charge backs
- Manage the collection of previously written off accounts and assure that the correct sales tax rates are being maintained in the branch mainframe system
- Ability to write reports, correspondence and communications. Ability to effectively present information in a written and/or verbal format.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects, assignments and tasks, monitoring use of time and appropriately using equipment, facilities and materials to provide timely and quality responses

E. Keith applications - Minimum of 3 years of experience in Credit / Collections or related field
- Computer literacy, including Excel and PowerPoint applications
- Valid New Mexico driver’s license is required for driving to perform company business
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or related industry
