Lead Financial Strategy for a Critical Access Hospital as CFO
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our dynamic healthcare team in Grants, NM. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare accounting and will play a critical role in strategic decision‑making and operations as we continue to enhance quality of care and achieve our financial goals. This is a permanent position requiring a commitment to our mission and values, and a willingness to adapt to a fast‑paced, rapidly evolving environment.
Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year
Responsibilities- Oversee financial operations of the company, including subsidiaries and foreign operations.
- Coordinate, analyze, and report financial performance to Management and Board of Directors, including projections and special projects.
- Prepare short‑ and long‑term financial forecasts for internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinating with outside audit firms and reviewing performance.
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures covering financial accounting, reporting, employee relations, and other corporate policies.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC rules, and Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements.
- Manage corporate and human resource activities, including employee benefits, retirement plans, corporate insurance, and related activities across all locations.
- Motivate teams to produce quality deliverables within tight time frames while managing multiple projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; CPA, CMA, or related certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years in a senior financial managerial role, preferably within healthcare.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications, familiarity with accounting software, and knowledge of healthcare financial regulations.
- Strong problem‑solving and strategic thinking skills; ability to forecast, analyze, and interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of guiding and motivating a financial team and collaborating with executives, staff, and external stakeholders.
- High ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
- Proven negotiation skills with experience managing relationships with banks and financial institutions.
