Responsibilities

  E. Keith with professionalism, maintain a positive attitude and follow dress code
• Set up customer accounts in the People Soft computer system
• Analyze credit applications for credit worthiness
• Approve customer credit terms for the branch and maintain customer credit files
• Oversee problem accounts to ensure collection activity is consistent with credit policy and that collections are made timely and within credit terms
• Explain corporate credit policy to all sales representatives to include the sales representative's written acknowledgement of said credit policy
• Prepare and manage the monthly credit call process and prepare an actual and potential bad debt report
• Enforce credit policy matters such as late DSR collection deductions and bad debt charge backs
• Manage the collection of previously written off accounts
• Ensure that the correct sales tax rates are being maintained in the branch mainframe system

• Ability to write reports, correspondence and communications
• Ability to effectively present information in a written and/or verbal format
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects, assignments and tasks, monitoring use of time and appropriately using equipment, facilities and materials to provide timely and quality responses

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Credit /Collections or related field
• Computer literacy, including Excel and PowerPoint applications
• Previous management experience preferred
• Valid New Mexico driver's license is required for driving to perform company business
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business or related industry
