Presbyterian Healthcare Services (PHS) seeks a distinguished financial executive to serve as the CFO for Presbyterian Hospital and Kaseman Hospital. This is a high-impact leadership role within the hospital executive team, providing strategic financial oversight for a combined footprint of approximately 600 beds and $834M in annual operating revenue. Reporting to the PDS Chief Financial Officer, this executive serves as a critical partner in navigating the complexities of a highly matrixed healthcare organization.

The role demands a leader who can balance the technical integrity of financial reporting with the strategic influence required to drive operational efficiency and clinical partnership.

Work Arrangement:
In-Office:
This position is based at the Reverend Hugh Cooper Administrative Center and Presbyterian Hospital, requiring a consistent onsite presence to partner with clinical and executive leaders.

Strategic Financial Leadership
  • Assist in all hospital financial strategies and execution, including budgeting, financial planning, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Provide actionable financial insights to inform operational decisions, capital planning, and long-range strategic initiatives.
  • Responsible for the financial outcomes and interpretation of results to hospital executives and the PDS CFO.
Operational Oversight & Productivity
  • Monitor revenue, expenses, labor utilization, and productivity to ensure performance aligns with budget and organizational targets.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and optimize performance across strategic service lines.
  • Work closely with operations to meet labor and productivity management benchmarks.
Budgeting & Capital Planning
  • Manage the assembly of annual volume assumptions and maintain full accountability for hospital operating and capital budgeting.
  • Partner with Corporate Business Development on accurate proforma development for capital and strategic business plans.
Reporting & Compliance
  • Manage the presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and variance analyses, prioritizing accuracy, and integrity.
  • Maintain robust internal controls to manage financial risk and safeguard hospital assets.
  • Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulatory requirements.
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team focused on accuracy, collaboration, and organizational impact.
  • Partner with Corporate Finance and Revenue Cycle teams on hospital-wide initiatives.
Education and Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Master’s degree (MHA or MBA) is highly preferred.
  • CPA, HFMA, or related professional certification is preferred.
Knowledge and Work Experience
  • Minimum of 10 to 15 years of healthcare accounting experience.
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in hospital finance operations in leadership positions.
  • Experience supporting a hospital with at least 600 beds is preferred.
  • Broad understanding of various healthcare reimbursement methodologies and GAAP.
Skills and Abilities

    Ability to effectively communicate financial concepts to non-financial leaders and physician executives.
