Position Summary:

The Internal Audit Department is looking for motivated individuals to support Internal Auditors in conducting operational, compliance, financial, and investigative audits. Join our team and gain valuable hands-on experience while completing your degree!

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with audit and investigative procedures in accordance with professional standards.
• Generate reports and extract data from UNM systems for Internal Audit purposes.
• Support the evaluation of audit and investigation findings.
• Contribute to drafting audit reports and related deliverables.

Our department conducts a wide range of audits and investigations, offering an excellent opportunity to gain practical, on-the-job experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program at UNM.
• Enrolled in at least 6 undergraduate credit hours or 5 graduate credit hours in a degree-seeking program.
• Enrolled at least half-time (minimum of 6 credit hours) during the fall and spring semesters (audit hours do not count).
• Junior-, senior-, or graduate-level student majoring in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Requirements:

• Must sign a confidentiality agreement.
• Must attend required training.
• Must be able to commit up to 20 hours per week for two semesters.
