Duties & Responsibilities
The Private Banker I (PBI) sources and maintains relationships with high-net-worth clientele. The PBI primarily delivers private banking credit and deposit solutions and may comanage and partner alongside a Senior Private Banker as assigned. Additionally, the PBI partners with wealth management, retail, commercial banking, and other lines of business to provide financial solutions across the UMB footprint through an exclusive delivery model.
Responsibilities- Call on prospective and existing high-net-worth clients to develop new business.
- Possess and maintain industry knowledge of trends, products, technology, and competition.
- Execute an ongoing proactive client contact strategy utilizing Salesforce tool.
- Take active or leadership role in community, civic, and/or charitable organizations and events.
- Actively participate with wealth team in development of key customer plans & reviews.
- Develop relationship with COI’s (i.e. realtors, attorneys, financial advisors, accountants) that will generate business opportunities.
- Participation and attendance at meetings and functions as assigned.
- Engage with clients through company sponsored activities and events.
- Meet individual/team performance and operational goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- College degree or 7 years of experience in direct financial sales.
- 3 years of wealth management/banking experience in the financial services industry.
- Possess valid driver’s license and have independent transportation.
- NMLS registration within 90 days.

- Analyze and interpret client financial statements and tax returns.
- Demonstrates knowledge of Trust & Bank products & services (i.e. Investments, Insurance, Brokerage, & Retirement Planning).

Compensation RangesUS Employees in California, Washington DC, New Jersey, and New York: $83,810 - $131,550
US Employees in Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin: $76,520 - $120,210
US Employees in all other states not listed above: $69,230 - $109,120
