Position: Client Relationship Consultant 2 (Banker) - Journal Center, NM

Client Relationship Consultant

Client Relationship Consultants build relationships with customers via multiple channels and provide tailored counsel based on a digital‑first mindset.

Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with customers through in‑person, appointment, and virtual channels.
  • Assess and attend to customers’ banking needs, obtaining and processing account information.
  • Demonstrate and educate clients on deposit and loan products and services, recommending solutions that align with their unique goals and needs.
  • Proactively outreach and follow up with clients, asking questions and learning about their financial needs and banking channel preferences.
  • Identify solutions for new and existing clients through effective engagement and communication.
  • Maintain knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services, including digital offerings.
  • Provide a consistent optimal client experience, greeting clients and processing basic transactions.
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners to best serve clients.
  • Open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests, and submit credit applications.
  • Educate clients on emerging self‑service digital products and services to meet their financial needs.
  • Leverage resources and technologies to optimize the client experience and deliver operational excellence and accuracy.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Typically has a minimum of 3‑4 years of retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training.
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow‑up.
  • Effective engagement and communication skills with clients.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems.
  • Customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience using and demonstrating digital products and self‑service technologies.
  • Ability to explore and identify a customer’s true needs while leveraging a digital‑first mindset.
  • Proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer needs both reactively and proactively.
  • Experience in the financial services industry (preferred).
Work Requirements
  • Requires working from a U.S. Bank location for all scheduled work days.
  • Requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation

    Z.
  • Subject to the required registration process, including criminal background and credit checks.
  • Failure to meet or maintain NMLS registration requirements may result in rescission of the offer or termination of employment.
