The Mortgage Loan Processor will make a significant impact by independently processing residential mortgage loan applications from application through closing. The position is responsible for managing a pipeline of conventional, FHA, VA, and home equity loans while ensuring compliance, accuracy, timely communication, and an exceptional member experience throughout the mortgage process.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Manage a pipeline of conventional, FHA, VA, and home equity loan files while meeting established service level expectations.

Submit and track residential mortgage loans from assignment through closing.

Collect, review and analyze borrower documentation for accuracy of income, property valuations, assets, credit reports, and title findings. Orders additional documentation as needed to complete the loan file.

Serve as a point of contact for members, loan officers, underwriters, and settlement agents throughout the loan process.

Ensure compliance with Credit Union policies and all applicable federal and state lending regulations.

Assist with problem resolution and proactively identify potential issues that could delay closing.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience:

Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education:

A high school education or GED. Current NMLS registration required or ability to obtain registration.

Skills:

Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Other

Skills:

Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and Microsoft Office skills.

Strong organization and time management skills.

Ability to manage multiple files under strict deadlines.

Familiarity with TRID compliance and secondary market/investor requirements as well as portfolio products.

Problem-solving mindset and adaptability in a small-team environment. Proficiency with LOS platforms.

Physical Requirements:

The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and far vision, color vision, and ability to focus.

Work Environment:
The noise level in the office work environment is typically moderate.

This position is required to work onsite at our Coors Bosque branch.
