The AVP Special Assets oversees the Special Assets team responsible for managing a portfolio of problem credits to resolution.

They will lead the team by providing coaching and development while exercising a high degree of autonomy to resolve complex problem credits, especially in government guaranteed lending programs, primarily SBA and USDA.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities :

  • Develop, negotiate, and implement loan restructuring proposals for complex and multi-tiered transactions.
  • Write and review complex liquidation and litigation plans for governmental agencies.
  • Ensure accuracy of loan loss analysis for Special Assets.
  • Manages other third parties assisting with the special assets workout process.
  • Prepare and present complex credit presentations for the use by the loan committee, senior management, loan participants and agencies in making credit decisions. Complete monthly and/or quarterly reviews for all problem relationships to include detailed action plans, modifications or policy waivers, and risk rating modifications,
  • Develop and maintain close relationships within US Eagle, including with lending team, credit analysts, accounting/finance, and external partners, including attorneys, SBA, USDA, loan participants and other professionals involved in the restructuring process.
  • Oversee any third-party special asset agency relationships and/or loan servicing relationships, to ensure compliance with U.S. Eagle policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for all aspects of managing, maintaining, and selling the company owned OREO property at a complex level for multiple property types, including single family residences.
  • Responsible for the management of contracts regarding managing and selling OREO property.
  • Responsible for income and expense management for all OREO properties, as appropriate. Act as a liaison to title, escrow, and foreclosure company relationships, as needed.
  • Responsible for risk in the Special Assets portfolio, including risk ratings, accrual status, and TDR/TLM status.
  • Analyzes complex financial statements and tax returns.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
