Senior Associate or Of Counsel

Taft is seeking a team-oriented Senior Associate or Of Counsel to join its Public Finance group in the Albuquerque office.

The ideal candidate will have experience representing governmental entities, issuers, borrowers, underwriters, lenders, developers, or other transaction participants.

Responsibilities may include serving as bond, issuer’s, tax, borrower’s, disclosure, or underwriter’s counsel; drafting and reviewing transaction documents; managing transactions through closing; and advising clients on public finance, tax, securities, and state-law matters. Experience with development and infrastructure financings, tax increment financing, special districts, housing, education, health care, transportation or other public and sector financings is preferred.

Qualified candidates will have 7–10 years of experience in public finance, municipal finance, economic development, or related transactional practice areas. Admission to the New Mexico Bar, or eligibility for admission, is required.
