The Counterintelligence (CI) Analytics department is seeking an experienced Intelligence and Counterintelligence Professional to conduct raw intelligence collection and reporting, assist with the development of the Strategic Debriefing Program, and build relationships with subject matter experts across Sandia. The successful candidate will be part of a highly motivated and mission-focused team of analysts, investigators, administrative staff associates and cyber professionals, and assist with coordination of collection opportunities, report writing, rapport building and training activities.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
- Be the authority on reporting requirements and identify opportunities to fill gaps.
- Lead, maintain, and regularly update on the progress of the program and collaborate with other CI Professionals and DOE Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence on program requirements and obligations.
- Participate and coordinate CI efforts related to identifying collection opportunities and authoring notices to the IC community.
- Conduct overt passive debriefings of subject matter experts using effective questioning techniques and author raw intelligence reports that meet program standards.
- Build rapport with subject matter experts, scientists and engineers.
- Track program progress and report to team and leadership on regular basis.
Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.
Salary Range$102,400 - $199,700
* Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require- Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline, plus five (5) years or more years of directly related experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job.
- Accredited HUMINT collection certification.
- Minimum of five (5) years or more of HUMINT or CI collection activities.
- Experienced in the following:
- Strategic-level debriefing and intelligence report writing (IIR) skills.
- Overt collection.
- Derivative Classifier Analytical problem-solving skills and ability and desire to identify trends and patterns
- Active DOE Q-level security clearance or equivalent (e.g., DOD Top Secret). The position will may require the ability to maintain an SCI clearance, which may require a polygraph test.
- A higher-level degree (MS, PhD) in relevant discipline may also be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
- Eight (8) or more years of experience in executing overt HUMINT collection activities
- Demonstrated written and verbal interpersonal communication skills and delivering briefings, talks, and situational reports to diverse audiences
- Demonstrable rapport building and active listening skills
- Demonstrable history of working and collaborating within a diverse team and proactively partnering with peers and team members
- Ability to identify information of importance and gather appropriate details.
The CI Analytics Department (00023) conducts research and analysis for Sandia's Office of Counterintelligence that is responsible for managing all counterintelligence-related activities at the Laboratories, both in New Mexico and California.
