Joon Health ABA is opening a new location in New Mexico as part of a fast‑growth expansion to reduce long waitlists and deliver high‑quality, family‑centered care. We partner with a national backend support organization for billing, credentialing, and operations so our clinical team can focus on what matters most: helping kids and supporting families.
Role OverviewWe are hiring an in‑person BCBA to be one of the first clinicians on the ground at our new Joon Health ABA location. This role is ideal for someone who wants real clinical autonomy, enjoys being in the field (homes, schools, and eventually clinic), and is excited about shaping a high‑growth clinic from day one. As an early BCBA hire, you will have significant opportunities for career growth, including supervising a team of RBTs and growing into a Clinical Director–level role as the clinic scales.
Key Responsibilities- Provide in‑person ABA services in homes, schools, and community settings.
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments (e.g., functional behavior assessments).
- Develop individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans.
- Supervise and coach RBTs/Behavior Technicians (live and via telehealth as appropriate).
- Deliver parent/caregiver training and collaborate closely with families.
- Participate in school meetings and help establish/maintain school MOUs.
- Monitor clinical outcomes and update programming based on data.
- Maintain documentation that meets BACB, Medicaid, and insurer standards.
- Help shape clinic processes, culture, and best practices as an early team member at a fast‑growing location.
- Active BCBA certification in good standing with the BACB.
- Master’s degree in ABA, Psychology, Education, or related field.
- Eligible to work as a BCBA in New Mexico (no separate state BA license currently required).
- At least 2 years of experience providing ABA services preferred (strong new BCBAs also considered).
- Willing and able to work in person 3–5 days per week in the local community.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and proof of auto insurance.
- Comfortable working in homes, schools, and community environments.
- Experience working with Medicaid populations and commercial insurance.
- Experience supervising RBTs and/or managing teams.
- Spanish/English bilingual a strong plus (but not required).
- Prior experience in New Mexico or similar markets.
- Pay:
Target 65–75 USD per hour (or equivalent salary, depending on arrangement), based on experience and market. - W‑2 employment with opportunity to scale to full‑time as caseload grows.
- Flexible schedule with a mix of school hours and after‑school hours.
- Support with CEUs and professional development.
- Operational support (scheduling, billing, credentialing, pre‑auth) handled by our backend partner so you can focus on clinical work.
- Clear growth path into Lead BCBA and Clinical Director roles as the clinic expands, with opportunities to build and lead your own team.
- Start part‑time (15–25 hours/week) with option to grow to full‑time.
- Typical hours: weekdays, mix of school‑day and after‑school visits.
- Some regional travel if working in the Roswell/Hobbs/Clovis region.
