Job Details:

• Varied schedule including mid/day/night shifts for the first few weeks, then transition to mid or day shifts for remainder of contract

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient needs

• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians or standard protocols

• Assume clinical supervision responsibilities for LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel

• Must successfully pass BCA (Basic Cardiac Arrythmia) test before starting assignment - one retest opportunity available, second failure results in contract cancellation

• Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles required

• Two years current experience in large emergency department required

• Must have completed at least one 13-week travel assignment

• Must be flexible team player accustomed to fast-paced environment

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS (BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross)

• New Mexico or Compact State nursing license required

• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required

• Epic experience preferred but not required - onsite training available
