Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) night shift position at a cardiovascular-focused Heart Hospital, requiring cardiovascular experience and NM or compact RN licensure.

Job Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital Heart Hospital setting, with 55 beds on the unit,

• Cardiovascular patient population,

• Patient ratio of 1:4,

• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM,

• Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week,

• Weekend requirement: rotating, as needed,

• Floating required,

• No on-call requirement,

• Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis,

• Documents in Epic EMR;
Epic experience preferred,

Job Requirements

• Active NM or compact RN license required,

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; CPI certification preferred,

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years preferred,

• Cardiovascular nursing experience required,

• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position,

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,

• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler,

• No travel pairs or groups accepted,

• Up to 3 days of RTO may be approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation,

• Scrub color: any color accepted, but no logos,

• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration,
