Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role located in Albuquerque, NM. As a Sterilization Specialist, you will be responsible for decontaminating, sterilizing, and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment. Daily tasks include operating and troubleshooting sterilization equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation protocols, and maintaining accurate records of sterilized items. You will also collaborate with team members to ensure the timely delivery of sterilized instruments and supplies.
Qualifications- Experience in decontamination, sterilization, and maintaining surgical instruments and medical equipment.
- Strong knowledge of safety, sanitation, and infection control standards in medical and laboratory settings.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot sterilization and decontamination equipment effectively.
- Attention to detail and record-keeping skills for tracking sterilization processes and inventory.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively within a healthcare environment.
- Relevant certifications in medical sterilization practices, such as CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician), are highly advantageous.
