This opportunity is for a Registered Nurse skilled in telemetry and long-term acute care nursing. The position requires delivering high-quality patient care by applying the Nursing Process and adhering to professional standards and facility policies. Critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership are essential in anticipating patient needs and effectively supervising care team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care utilizing telemetry monitoring and acute care nursing principles
  • Lead shift clinical operations, prioritizing and delegating patient care tasks to the healthcare team
  • Maintain and demonstrate competency in advanced nursing skills, including ventilator and tracheostomy care, central line management, and wound care best practices
  • Comply with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery and discharge planning
Qualifications and

Experience:
  • Current RN license in New Mexico or a multi-state compact RN license
  • Certifications in ACLS and BLS from the American Heart Association (required)
  • Experience in ventilator and tracheostomy care; knowledge of central venous lines strongly preferred
  • Prior wound care experience is advantageous
  • Ability to work weekend shifts:
    Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
