$66,880 - $100,320 Annually
This position is a Pay Band C9
This position will provide inpatient treatment in the adolescent treatment center. The incumbent is responsible for all phases of treatment including assessments, individual, group and family therapy, case management and representation at legal proceedings and at the time of discharge. The position requires extensive planning, documentation, reporting and working closely with Children Youth and Families Department (CYFD) and Juvenile Justice System (JJS) providers.

Crisis Prevention Intervention and Trauma Informed Care are the cornerstone of treatment at Sequoyah Adolescent Treatment Center. De‑escalation techniques and coping mechanisms are offered to residents and life skills are taught to assist with success upon discharge.
Who are the customers?Our facility is a secure facility which serves the needs of adolescent males age 13‑17 with a history of violence and aggression.
Ideal CandidateLPCC or LCSW and experience working with adolescents.
Minimum QualificationLicensure in New Mexico as an LMSW, LISW, LMHC, LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, or LPAT and one (1) year of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field above licensure requirements and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling one (1) year may substitute for the required experience.
EmploymentRequirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Pre‑employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results.
Working ConditionsWork is performed in an adolescent treatment center, with exposure to mentally and/or behaviorally challenged residents, who may exhibit unpredictable behaviors. This position may work in an office setting using related office equipment, with exposure to Visual Video Display Terminal and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
