Responsibilities

* The pharmacy technician, under the supervision of a pharmacist, will assist in the technical, non-clinical aspects of preparing medications for dispensing and assist in pharmacy operations.

* Can participate as a member of a team with reliability and punctuality.

* Does related work, as required. Maintains competency in the compounding of sterile IV medications.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

* High School graduate or GED.

* 2+ years of previous hospital pharmacy technician experience.

* Completion of sterile compounding training/competency.

* Active Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy.

* National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).

* BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
