Employee Relations, Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Talent Manager
Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support our growing multi-state organization across 15 locations. This role will play a key part in administering core HR processes, ensuring compliance, supporting employee experience initiatives, and contributing to firm-wide people strategies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to operate independently in a fast-paced professional services environment.
Essential Job Functions:- Support the development, scheduling, and tracking of employee training programs (compliance, leadership, professional development).
- Create and maintain wellness initiatives for the company
- Support end-to-end employee lifecycle administration including new hires, status changes, and terminations within HRIS (Workday preferred), ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Assists with annual EEO and Affirmitive Action Plan administration and filing.
- Assists with upkeep, content development and administration of internal training website.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee and supervisor HR inquiries, providing guidance aligned with company policy and employment regulations.
- Support administration of FMLA and other leave programs in coordination with internal stakeholders and third-party partners.
- Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat Creative Cloud.
- Experience with HRIS systems – Workday experience a plus.
- Great attention to detail - proficient and accurate data entry skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to build relationships and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrates proficiency in applying established standards / policies.
- Exercises discretion and professional maturity when handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Willing and able to take on extra responsibilities when necessary.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills are critical.
- Ability to work well with all levels within the organization.
- Business Administration, or related field required. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of six (6) years of progressive human resources experience, preferably in a multi-state or professional services environment.
- Experience working with multi-state organizations preferred.
- Training and development coordination or facilitation experience preferred
- AEC industry experience preferred.
- Professional certification (PHR, SPHR) is highly desired.
