Pay Range: $41,806–$52,258 per hour or $86,956–$108,697 annually

The Administrative Office of the Courts is recruiting for a full‑time classified IT Project Manager Senior to oversee all phases of information technology projects for the New Mexico Judiciary. The role involves coordinating stakeholders, managing budgets, and delivering IT solutions that support Justice for New Mexicans.

Job Duties
  • Organize, identify and document tasks using project management tools.
  • Establish timelines, processes, procedures, and short‑ and long‑term goals for each project.
  • Research, identify, test, and implement appropriate hardware, software, services, materials, and information required for projects.
  • Present and implement project timelines, proposals, protocols, and standards for approval.
  • Provide cost estimates for hardware, software, services; prepare documentation including input for contracts.
  • Monitor recurring and non‑recurring costs.
  • Promote projects with IT staff, judicial entities, legislature, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop, communicate, and maintain technical guidelines for computer hardware, software, and services.
  • Provide input on the development of contracts, memorandums of understanding, memorandum of agreement, and requests for proposals.
  • Develop and present the project’s strategic plan and assess risk management issues.
  • Comply with established security measures.
  • Implement and present training programs related to projects, new business processes, or new software functionality.
  • Attend conferences tied to projects and present data and position papers to varied groups.
  • Provide professional customer service to internal and external users.
  • Ensure appropriate access to information and restrict access to sensitive information.
  • Assess, develop, train, and oversee the ongoing maintenance of newly acquired and established software programs.
  • Manage vendor relationships and serve as the lead point of contact with the judiciary.
  • Analyze court business processes, understand workflows, and develop requirements.
  • Document business requirements and court business process workflows for IT staff.
  • Serve on committees as a subject‑matter expert for advisory committees.
  • Develop an end‑to‑end user acceptance testing (UAT) framework; create test scripts, instructions, training, issue management, regression testing, and final acceptance procedures.
  • Translate technical manuals into user‑friendly format.
  • Mentor and train co‑workers on overall project management practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Competencies / Qualifications

The successful applicant should have knowledge of project evaluation, reporting and tracking methods; adult teaching techniques; technical understanding of application design, program development, system servers and platforms, database administration, network configuration, management and diagram development, telecommunications, systems management, client administration, application analysis and development, and applications life cycles; vendor, equipment type, contract development security compliance; data reporting standards; research methodologies; funding guidelines;

IT trends and techniques; requests for proposal (RFP); document development; and IT development standards.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work performed in an office or court setting with full days of screen time using multiple screens and devices.
  • A valid driver’s license and travel may be required.
  • Work schedule may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Regular, positive interaction with co‑workers, clients, judges, and justices.
