This position is governed by NERC CIP cybersecurity standards. Candidates must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment, including identity verification and a criminal background check, before being hired, promoted, or transferred. Prior to receiving unescorted access to cyber‑secure areas, candidates must attend cybersecurity training, which is also required annually.

Under general direction, this position manages projects and processes associated with configuration change management in corporate, BTS, and NERC CIP environments. The role includes regulatory compliance assurance with SOX and NERC CIP for all configuration change management requirements.

• Monitors and facilitates all configuration change management processes for process alignment with internal controls.
• Develops, implements, and maintains essential documentation (policies, procedures, templates, work instructions, audit responses, etc.) for NERC CIP and other regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Maintains and updates Reliability Standards Audit Worksheets, overseeing procedures and practices across multiple business areas to ensure regulatory compliance is met.
• Ensures software systems used to implement change and configuration management are configured to meet business needs and regulatory compliance.
• Monitors and validates environment readiness criteria (system availability, interface connectivity, configuration alignment) prior to interoperability or system integration testing, escalating risks or gaps as needed.
• Coordinates with QA, development, infrastructure, and vendor teams to guarantee test environments are aligned and available for planned interoperability and system integration testing activities.
• Champions the IT change and configuration management process across the company, ensuring departmental procedures align with applicable laws such as NERC CIP.
• Develops company and departmental procedures to ensure technology systems are managed according to current industry change and configuration management practices.

• Strong knowledge of remote technology management and audit testing response.
• Extensive knowledge of industry practices in information technology across multiple disciplines including data networking, information security, software/application support, software development, SDLC, quality assurance, project management, and IT governance.
• Ability to translate management objectives into specific actions.
• Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
• Ability to design workflows and procedures.

• Bachelor's degree from a four‑year college or university with an emphasis on computers and five to seven years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline.

• ITIL Release Validation and Control Practitioner Certification is preferred.

• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to a wide range of questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Ability to apply the concepts of fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations, and perform basic calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in all units of measure.

• Advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software.
• Specialized knowledge of all current company information systems and technologies.

• Ability to assess and implement new regulatory initiatives and translate relevant requirements into process improvements.
• Ability to assess procedure artifacts and determine whether regulatory requirements are met.
