Network/Systems Administrator II
Prime contract for U.S. Department of Defense, supporting HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense and related agencies. Responsible for day-to-day management and operation of networks, ensuring compliance with DoD security requirements and Continuous Monitoring.
In this role you will…- Lead IT ops team on day-to-day management and operations of networks, implementing capabilities vetted through Cybersecurity, ISSE, etc.
- Manage COTS & GOTS products and implement automated system security and performance metrics.
- Assist in security assessments of servers, network devices and security appliances.
- Develop and maintain O&M checklists, TTPs and SOPs.
- Operate monitoring tools such as SIEM, create event alarms and reports.
- Execute cybersecurity operations procedures for day-to-day network management.
- Monitor and analyze output of cybersecurity related tools for incidents and residual risk.
- Assist in analyzing technical risk of emerging cybersecurity tools and processes.
- Participate in security incident response team as needed.
- Integrate and develop new techniques to improve confidentiality, integrity and availability for networks/systems at various classification levels.

- 3–5 years related experience in network, systems or security administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or Associate’s degree + 2 years experience, or equivalent experience (4 years).
- Must obtain DoD Directive 8570.01‑M Information Assurance Technician Level 2 within 6 months of hire.
- Preferred certifications: CASP, CISSP or other IAT Level III.
- Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Eligibility for Special Access Program information.
- Willingness to submit to a counter‑intelligence polygraph.
- Thorough knowledge of Windows desktop and server OS, Exchange Server, RHEL administration.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Group Policy design and configuration.
- Knowledge of Cisco networking, switching, virtualization, LAN/WAN and backup technologies.
- Understanding of COMSEC policies.
- Experience with Risk Management Framework, Common Criteria and System Security Policy.
- Experience in PL2, PL3 and PL4 network environments/systems.
- Knowledge of WSUS/YUM patch management.
- Familiarity with DoD policy for system and network admin.
- Physical: lift up to 50 lbs, sedentary work 50%+ of the time, relocate between buildings as needed.
- Ability to manage stress, demonstrate critical thinking, leadership and professional maturity.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Level I & II positions: some SAP experience.
- Level III positions: 2+ years SAP experience.
