Under the direction of the assigned CNM Ingenuity Director or Manager, the Digital Navigator supports community learning events by assisting adult learners with technology, facilitating hands-on learning activities, preparing equipment, and helping create a welcoming learning environment. The Digital Navigator provides one-on-one assistance using Chromebooks and web-based applications while supporting digital literacy, workforce development, lifelong learning, volunteer engagement, and access to community resources.

This position is a short term limited position based on funding from the AARP grant, and assists with the setup, operation, and teardown of the Mobile Digital Learning Lab while providing technical support and guidance to participants throughout each event. Digital Navigators may also facilitate discussions, answer participant questions, and assist the instructor with demonstrations and other learning activities.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Chromebooks, Windows, Google Workspace, Zoom, email, internet browsing, and basic technology troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to assist adult learners with varying levels of technology experience.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear, patient, and supportive manner.
  • Ability to transport, set up, operate, and secure the Mobile Digital Learning Lab and related technology equipment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with instructors, staff, and community partners while adapting to different learning environments.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimums
  • High school diploma or equivalent OR one (1) year of experience in customer service, technology support, education, training, coaching, mentoring, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Chromebooks or Windows computers, Google Workspace, Zoom, email, internet browsers, and basic technology troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a community learning environment.
  • Ability to transport, set up, and tear down the Mobile Digital Learning Lab, including lifting and moving equipment up to 40 pounds.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to community event locations.
Preferences
  • Experience working with adult learners.
  • Experience supporting digital literacy or workforce development initiatives.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, trainings, or community outreach events.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
