Description
Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Data Visualization Engineer SME specializing in data visualization to join our team in Fort Belvoir, VA or Albuquerque, New Mexico
. The primary focus of this role is to design, develop, and maintain informative dashboards and reports utilizing Power BI and Micro Strategy. The successful candidate will play a critical mission-support role by transforming complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that directly facilitate business strategy, decision-making, and IT Operations support of critical mission requirements enhancing the reliability and security of Department of War (DoW) networks and systems.
Clearance:
Active Secret clearance at time of hire and able to obtain Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI).
Dashboard Development
- Design, build, and deploy interactive dashboards, reports, and dossiers using Power BI andMicro Strategy

IT Operations Support
- Identify, extract, and analyze relevant data specifically in support of IT Operations and systemsustainment initiatives.
Data Integration & ETL
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from disparate structured and unstructured datasources to prepare it for analysis and visualization.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with business leaders and IT decision-makers to gather requirements and translatebusiness needs into technical visualization specifications.
Data Analysis
- Interrogate and analyze complex datasets to uncover critical trends, patterns, and insights that supportstrategic initiatives.
Optimization & Quality Assurance
- Validate data accuracy, troubleshoot reporting anomalies, and optimize dashboardperformance for end-users.
User Enablement
- Provide guidance, documentation, and training to end-users on how to effectively interact with andinterpret the visualization tools.
Documentation & Standards
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, standard operating procedures, anddata dictionaries in support of delivered products.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure all tools comply with DoW STIGs and IL5/IL6/IL7 protocols; develop andmaintain architectural documentation and compliance traceability.
Requires BS and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain - additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Security Clearance:
Active Secret clearance at time of hire and able to obtain Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI).Certification:
Active IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, GSEC, or SSCP) required.Citizenship:

Experience:
Proven professional track record in data analysis, business intelligence, and building data visualizations for enterprise use.Domain Knowledge:
Familiarity with IT Operations and sustainment, including a strong understanding of how toidentify and apply relevant data to support these functions.
Data Integration / ETL:
Experience with data extract, transform, and load (ETL) techniques using disparate structuredand unstructured data sources.
Technical Proficiency:
Advanced hands‑on experience with Power BI (including DAX and Power Query) and Micro Strategy (including Dossiers and standard reporting).Database
Skills:
Strong command of SQL and experience querying complex relational databases and data warehouses.Communication:
