Logistics Analyst – Albuquerque, NM
Chenega Military, Intelligence & Operations Support (MIOS) is seeking a Logistics Analyst to provide equipment trend analysis and maintenance of DHS Customs & Border Protection Enforcement Technology (ET) in Albuquerque, NM. This role supports large‑scale government operations by leveraging cutting‑edge technology and involves frequent collaboration with project teams.
Responsibilities- Calculate and determine uptime (operational availability)
- Determine the desired minimum mean time to repair the system or subsystem
- Determine the overall system’s mean time between failures
- Determine calibration requirements for the system or any individual subsystems
- Calculate minimum stock level (MSL), probability of no stock‑out (POS), and correct order quantity (QO) using statistical distributions for each required spare
- Review and comment on all ET technical documentation
- Analyze and summarize monthly ET data input
- Help maintain the ABQ ETC database integrity for all ET equipment
- Maintain an accurate list of equipment locations
- Provide costs of maintenance and repairs for ET equipment
- Participate in meetings for ET logistics support as required
- Develop logistics support plans
- Provide ABQ deliverable reports on a daily basis
- Update asset information in multiple databases (SAP, SAM, Maximo)
- Provide technical oversight of project teams and the work of more junior staff (no formal supervisory responsibilities)
- Other duties as assigned
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience in integrated logistics, particularly in maintenance support planning, and data mining and analysis
- U.S. citizen required to pass a CBP Background Investigation
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle large, complex workloads, coordinate multiple resources, and multitask in a fast‑paced environment
- Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluation methods and techniques
- Ability to handle controversial situations with tact and diplomacy
- Excellent PC skills; highly proficient in MS Office Suite
- Experience with Maximo or other maintenance‑management applications is a plus
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus
- Self‑starter; able to work with minimal supervision in a multi‑tasking environment
- Proficiency with standard logistical elements, concepts, practices, and procedures
