Position: Materials Manager FT

Full Time Materials Manager – New Mexico Surgery Center - Multispecialty

Job Summary

The Materials Manager is responsible for overseeing inventory control, including ordering, maintaining, receiving, and stocking all medical supplies. The role supports the surgical team, ensures compliance with state standards of practice, communicates essential information to team members, and may perform additional duties as directed by management.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate receiving, processing, distributing, and storing supplies.
  • Ensure healthy flow throughout the supply chain.
  • Monitor and manage repairs of equipment.
  • Maintain and coordinate the inventory system.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
  • Conduct financial analysis as required to support department goals.
  • Effectively coordinate with clinical and business managers, administrative director, physicians, and ancillary departments on patient care and specialty requirements, and procure specialty equipment as indicated.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all functions associated with Materials Management Supply.

Qualifications
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of Materials Management experience and/or experience as a scrub tech or Central Supply tech.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to assist with contract management.
  • General understanding of medical supply equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
