Position SummaryAssist in receiving and data entry. Assist with other collateral functions. Food and Nutrition:
Receive, stock and rotate food items from various vendors while maintaining a permanent record of receipt. Food items ordered from offsite locations must be delivered throughout the shift. Ensures adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.
- REQUISITION
- Make changes, confirm and credit requisitions entered by departments - RECEIVING
- Act as an advisor/resource to all departments for receiving issues - REVIEW
- Run and review control documents for requisitions and receiving - DOCUMENT
- Enter all merchandise received, research discrepancies and make adjustments - DOCUMENT
- Responsible for patient charges and credits - SUPPLY
- Assist in taking inventory and placing orders - DELIVERY
- Deliver and pick-up food items from offsite locations - SUPPLY
- Stock food supply items for patient units - RECEIVING
- Receive and place food and paper products on designated shelves, following FIFO for food supply safety
- High School or GED Equivalent

- Valid New Mexico Driver's License
- UNM Vehicle Operator's Permit w/in 60 days
- Food Handlers Certificate
Heavy Work:
Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
Working conditions:
- Minor Hazard - physical risks, dirt, dust, fumes, noise
- May be required to work on ladders or scaffolding
- May perform subordinate tasks in high census/vol
- Subject to random alcohol and substance testing
