Floor Care Tech

Join Adelante Development Center, Inc. to apply for the Floor Care Technician role. This position is essential to maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming spaces across our facilities.

Salary and Benefits: $17.75 per hour.
Hiring Bonus: $1,250 upon successful hiring.

• Operate wet/dry vacuums, backpack vacuums, floor scrubbers/buffers, carpet extractors and floor machines.
• Perform minor repairs and assist in the maintenance of the facilities.
• Perform striping, waxing, buffing, dust and damp mopping of floors and carpets on schedule; clean offices, hallways, meeting rooms, classrooms; assist in the maintenance of floor‑care equipment; clean, sanitize and restock restrooms; deliver supplies and materials as needed.
• Assist in setup and removal of materials and equipment for special events; move furniture and equipment; remove trash; secure buildings as needed; perform other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent required. Floor‑care experience required. Two years custodial‑work experience preferred. Must have effective written and verbal communication skills, be able to effectively communicate in English with internal and external customers, read and write English to understand written procedures, give and receive instructions, and respond to questions.

Must pass TB test, background check and drug screen. Must have own reliable transportation, valid New Mexico driver’s license, and Agency‑insurable driving record. Must have strong attention to detail and quality. Must be able to remain on feet approximately 90% of the workday. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. frequently. Must operate equipment continuously for several hours at a time.

Must climb ladders for cleaning purposes. May be required to pass suitability check by Government Protective Services and obtain a security clearance. Adelante is a drug‑free workplace.

Full‑time, Variable Schedule. Monday through Friday, 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM (possible weekends).
