Associate Maintenance Tech (DOH/SATC #30653)
Position available with the New Mexico Department of Health. This role performs routine maintenance and ensures a safe environment for residents in a secure facility.
Salary$16.50 - $24.75 per hour
$34,320 - $51,480 annually
Pay Band C2
- Perform routine building maintenance
- Carpentry, heating and cooling systems, boiler operations, painting, and grounds keeping
- Interpret blueprints and perform maintenance for a residential treatment center
- Carry out custodial duties as needed
High School Diploma or Equivalent and three (3) months of experience in general buildings and grounds maintenance, custodial duties, construction, or appliance repair. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience totaling three (3) months may substitute for the required experience.
Employment Requirements- Valid Driver’s License
- Current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or obtain certification as a condition of employment
- Pass criminal background check pursuant to NM Caregivers Criminal Screening Act
Work primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions such as hot, cold, humidity, wind, rain, and snow. Exposure to sunlight, dust, pollen, chemicals, moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, toxic fumes/chemicals and/or airborne particles. On call 24/7 during inclement weather. Work in an adolescent treatment center with exposure to mentally and/or behaviorally challenged residents who may exhibit unpredictable behaviors.
