Role Overview
The Branch Manager oversees the operations and overall performance of a designated branch within a solar energy company. This role involves managing staff, driving growth, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of service and safety. The Solar Branch Manager will work closely with the regional management team to develop strategies, optimize processes, and achieve business objectives.
Job Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations of the branch, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Accountable for the financial (revenue and gross margin) and operational results for the New Install Projects line of business across the portfolio which will include KPI’s
- Identify means to reduce costs, minimize risks, or increase efficiency of solar installation projects
- Oversee the quality of installations and services provided, ensuring they meet customer expectations and industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to solar energy and business operations.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring the availability of necessary equipment and materials.
- Work with our CRM systems (Podio) to update the status of projects timely, and ensure all reporting and analytics is accurate
- Review completion photos from projects to ensure quality is being maintained and complete photo packages are being submitted
- Review Pipeline for problematic/special attention jobs
- Estimate materials, equipment, and personnel needed for residential solar installation projects
- Coordinate or schedule inspections for solar installation projects
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or Technical/trade school training in solar or electrical systems is preferred.
- First‑hand experience installing residential solar as a lead or crew member
- 2+ years of solar experience, with 4+ years of management experience.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of relatable experience (roofing, electrical or general construction)
- Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, and high attention to detail.
- Must demonstrate the ability to create and implement organized and effective processes and systems
- Certified OSHA/OSHA
10/30 preferred - Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Product
- Managing customer accounts and opportunity information in our CRM.
- Electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC & DC)
- Ability to read and interpret job orders as well as understand solar specifications
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, CAD drawings ETC
- Highly self‑motivated with the ability to prioritize complex, diversified responsibilities, multitask effectively and execute tasks
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Must be able to successfully pass pre‑employment screening requirements (valid Driver’s License and clean MVR are required to drive company vehicles.)
