Teen Center – Albuquerque, New Mexico Position Summary The Executive Director of the Teen Center is a visionary and results-driven leader responsible for the overall management, strategic direction, growth, and success of the Boys & Girls Club of Central New Mexico's Teen Center. This position provides leadership to staff, oversees program quality, develops sustainable systems and operational structures, ensures grant compliance, cultivates community partnerships, and creates a positive culture that empowers both youth and staff.

The Executive Director serves as the face of the Teen Center in the community and is responsible for building a high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional youth development experiences. Through strong leadership, delegation, accountability, and collaboration, this position ensures that the Teen Center remains a safe, welcoming, innovative, and engaging environment where teens can achieve academic success, develop workforce readiness skills, strengthen mental wellness, and become leaders in their communities.

This position aligns with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) Formula for Impact and Program Quality Standards, ensuring programs consistently promote Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Vision Provide overall leadership and direction for Teen Center operations, programming, and strategic initiatives.

Develop and implement long-term goals that align with BGCCNM's mission, strategic plan, and community needs.

Create and maintain systems that improve organizational efficiency, accountability, communication, and program effectiveness.

Lead organizational change and continuous improvement efforts.

Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, teamwork, and youth-centered decision-making.

Ensure all Teen Center operations reflect BGCA's mission, values, and best practices.

Team Development & Organizational Culture Recruit, supervise, coach, and develop a diverse team of skilled professionals.

Cultivate a positive workplace culture focused on collaboration, accountability, professional growth, and high performance.

Provide regular supervision, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities.

Empower Program Directors and leadership staff through effective delegation and shared ownership of organizational goals.

Facilitate leadership team meetings and ensure alignment across all program areas.

Promote clear communication and collaboration among departments.

Program Oversight & Quality Assurance Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of all Teen Center programs.

Ensure programs meet BGCA Program Quality Standards and support Academic Success, Workforce Readiness, Mental Wellness, Character Development, and Leadership Development.

Collaborate with Program Directors to establish measurable outcomes and program goals.

Monitor participation, engagement, and retention data to drive continuous improvement.

Ensure youth voice and feedback are incorporated into program planning and decision-making.

Create an engaging, inclusive, and welcoming environment that encourages teen participation and belonging.

Grant Management & Compliance Collaborate with Program Directors and administrative staff to ensure compliance with all grant requirements.

Oversee collection and reporting of program data, attendance, outcomes, and performance metrics.

Ensure timely submission of reports for federal, state, local, and private grants.

Work closely with leadership to identify funding opportunities and support grant development efforts.

Monitor grant deliverables, budgets, and performance measures.

Maintain compliance with all funding agency requirements, including 21st Century Community Learning Centers and other youth development funding sources.

Community Relations & Partnership Development Serve as the primary ambassador and spokesperson for the Teen Center.
