- Volunteer Services and Information Desk to supports the Director of Volunteer Services CDS Presbyterian Healthcare Services facilities in the planning, supervision, and coordination of the operational, financial and personnel activities of volunteers across multiple areas and paid Information Desk staff at Presbyterian Hospital. Responsibilities:

Directly manages the information desk and supervisor.

Selects, trains, assigns, mentors and evaluates paid information desk staff.

Develops performance standards, performs personnel performance evaluations, and recommends personnel actions with the collaboration of the director and Human Resources.

Ensures that all escalated guest-related requests and complaints are handled accurately and on time to improve guests' experience.

Responds to emergency or disaster situations as  collaboration with the department director, evaluates and oversees the performance and effectiveness of the Volunteer Services Program across all assigned  conjunction with the director, develops and recommends department operating budget and ensure that budget targets are met.

Supports consistent operational implementation of systemwide volunteer services process and standards across assigned sites.

Participates in special event planning, like the annual volunteer appreciation event, by leading a planning committee.

Serves as a liaison to the community at large for donations of clothing or handmade items.

Supports the training of new volunteer management team members and serves a mentor after training is complete.

Oversees and participates in key stages of the volunteer lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, assignment, training, engagement, evaluation, and retention, in collaboration with other volunteer services staff.

Maintains minimum target number of active volunteers at any given time.

Executes general volunteer training, continuing education and support programs for all direct report volunteers.

Meets department/unit capacity based on requests for volunteer coverage, periodic needs assessments, and ensuring proper placement and matching of volunteer skills with assignment needs.

Ensures administrative compliance with all required screening and orientation procedures in files with prospective and current direct report volunteers with strict adherence to department policies and handbook for volunteers.

Provides site-based feedback to aid the Director in systemwide development of program materials, volunteer assignments, and training content.

Responsible for implementation of volunteer department policies and procedures at assigned site(s).Works with director to set personal and departmental growth goals for growth using data from number of volunteers, hour logs, database information, and assessed departmental needs. Evaluates and monitors the progress of those goals.

Sets and meets clear, measurable goals for volunteer capacity, compliance, and program operations; monitors progress using data and regularly reports outcomes to the Director.

Demonstrates strong emotional intelligence, including self‑awareness, empathy, conflict de‑escalation, and the ability to build positive relationships across diverse staff and volunteer groups.

Participates in professional organizations through seminars, email, or continuing education to benchmark program and to enhance skills development.

Supports organizational visions, values, and strategies.

Performs other functions as required.

Qualifications:

BA Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.

One year or more experience in customer service and experience relevant to leading volunteers and/or supervising paid staff required. Experience in onboarding paid staff or volunteers preferred.
