CACI seeks an experienced Welder/Fabricator in Albuquerque, NM with up to 10% travel across the continental United States. The candidate will perform mechanical component fabrication, work with welding processes and support construction projects.

• Responsible for mechanical component fabrication.
• Knowledgeable of applicable processes and standards covering parts machining, welding, design, and fabrication.
• Interface with Mechanical Engineers and Designers on fabrication methods and processes.
• Perform manual tasks such as rust treatment, painting, material removal, metal grinding, cutting and application of various solutions.
• Work independently or as part of a team, comfortable in confined spaces and at heights.
• Maintain and adhere to operational procedures and work instructions, follow work orders, and assist in preparing reports and documentation, including test procedures and recording results.
• Obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Apply proven problem‑solving skills and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
• Use basic powered and hand tools.
• May be asked to lead a small project team, provide guidance to new or entry‑level employees.

Required:

• GTAW / TIG welding
• GMAW / MIG welding
• Machine shop equipment operations
• Fabrication shop machinist
• Minimum of 5 years of experience
• Vocational or technical education in addition to related work experience (plus)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Physical abilities: use of arms, hands, fingers to operate tools; standing, walking, moving, climbing, bending, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, pulling
• Able to focus on items less than 20 inches away; see in three dimensions and distinguish all colors

Position covered by Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). Compensation will meet or exceed the minimum required amounts as per the wage determination issued by the Department of Labor.

Minimum required hourly wage: $22.11
