As a Senior Supervisor, Production based at Rocket Lab’s site in Albuquerque, New Mexico, you will have the opportunity to direct the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives. In this role you will develop schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas, select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

You will prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply, plan and administer procedures and budgets, and join a driven team of pioneers relentlessly tackling challenging projects.

Shift Details: D‑Shift: 6:00 pm‑6:30 am Wednesday‑Friday and alternating Saturdays

• Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct setup and adjustments of machines.
• Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
• Provide direct supervision to non‑exempt employees (operators, technicians, and support personnel).
• Interact with subordinate supervisors and functional peer groups, presenting technical information concerning projects or schedules.
• Provide direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance, administering company policies that directly affect subordinate employees.
• Interpret company policies and enforce safety regulations.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, assigning duties.
• Establish or adjust workflow to meet production schedules.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase department and team efficiency.
• Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
• Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.

• High school diploma.
• 10+ years of production supervisor experience in a production or heavily regulated manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of a semiconductor cleanroom environment.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, simple financial reports and legal documents.
• Ability to read, interpret and correct engineering drawings.
• Ability to write technical reports and procedure manuals.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers and engineers.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
• Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, operate a computer keyboard and controls, and communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must be physically able to commute to the buildings.
• Occasional exposure to dust, fumes and moderate levels of noise.
