CAA has a need to add an experienced Welder / Fabricator to its technical team in Albuquerque, NM. This position requires travel across the continental United States for various projects. The candidate should be experienced performing the following tasks.
Responsibilities- Responsible for mechanical component fabrication.
- Knowledgeable of applicable processes and standards covering parts machining, welding, design, and fabrication.
- Interface with Mechanical Engineers and Designers on fabrication methods and processes.
- Perform manual tasks such as rust treatment, painting, materials removal, metal grinding, cutting, and application of various solutions.
- Work independently and as part of a team, comfortable in confined spaces and at heights.
- Maintain and adhere to operational procedures and work instructions, follow work orders, and assist with preparation of reports and appropriate documentation to include test procedures and recording results.
- Obtain a Secret clearance.
- Demonstrate proven problem‑solving skills and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
- Use basic powered and hand tools.
- May lead a small project team and provide guidance to new or entry‑level employees.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience. Vocational or technical education is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Physical abilities including use of arms, hands, and fingers to operate tools and equipment; standing, walking, moving, climbing, bending, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, pulling.
- Ability to focus on items less than 20 inches away (corrected or uncorrected), see in three dimensions, and distinguish all colors.

This posting is for a position covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay and benefits will meet or exceed the minimum required amounts detailed in the wage determination issued by the Department of Labor.
