Position Overview
Leidos' Defense Directed Energy Division is seeking Assembly, Integration and Test Technicians in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The role involves mechanical and structural assembly of military system components, using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and test equipment.
Primary Responsibilities- Perform mechanical and structural assembly of military system components per work instructions, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
- Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and test equipment to assemble, fit, and install parts and components.
- Conduct inspections of in-process and completed assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Work in a fast‑paced, collaborative manufacturing setting.
- Stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and wear PPE as required.
- Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to meet production schedules.
- High school diploma/GED with at least 1 year of experience in precision or manufacturing assembly.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and assembly of large structures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering documents, and assembly instructions.
- Proficiency with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hand‑eye coordination.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with ERP/shop floor systems.
- Must lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
- Proficient with hand tools including drills, grinders, wrenches, screwdrivers, impact rivet guns, and rivet puller.
- Resident of the Albuquerque area or willing to relocate to the Albuquerque, NM metro area.
- Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, if necessary.
- Experience with high voltage (up to 100 kV) and high current (up to 10 kA) power systems.
- Familiarity with Costpoint, Solumina, Agile, and Windchill.
- Effective communication skills.
- Planning and scheduling experience.
- Active Secret security clearance.
$35,750.00 - $64,625.00
