• Operates rolling mills and annealing ovens to process metal products according to set specifications.
• Monitors process controls (temperature, pressure, speed) to maintain product quality.
• Operates a spin dryer to clean and dry machine shavings.
• Surface finishing of machined surfaces, using sanders and Scotch Brite pads.
• Cleans and packages finished parts.
• Assists in shearing, sawing, and weighing of metal parts. Assists in loading and rebuilding of furnaces.

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to reach with hands and arms, speak, and hear. The incumbent is occasionally required to stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The incumbent may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

The incumbent will be at times working in areas with heavy machinery, high‑temperature processes, magnetic fields, and moving mechanical equipment in the production areas. Production areas can be demanding, sometimes requiring hearing, eye, thermal, or other protection on the manufacturing floor.
