General Labor / Recycling Yard Associate

Ōnin Staffing is hiring General Labor / Recycling Yard Associates for W. Silver Recycling in Albuquerque. W. Silver Recycling is a full-service recycling company that supports manufacturers, businesses, and industrial customers with recycling and by-product management services. This position is a great opportunity for dependable candidates who enjoy hands-on work, staying active, and working in an outdoor/industrial environment.

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

Day shift

Job Duties:

• Sorting recyclable materials such as metal, cardboard, paper, plastics, pallets, and other industrial materials
• Loading and unloading materials from trucks, bins, containers, or production areas
• Separating materials by type, size, and quality
• Assisting with movement of scrap metal and other recyclable products
• Keeping the yard, warehouse, and work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Using basic hand tools as needed
• Following all safety rules and company procedures
• Working around forklifts, trucks, machinery, and industrial equipment
• Performing other general labor duties as assigned by supervisors

Skills and Experience:

• Must be dependable and able to report to work on time
• Must be comfortable working in a recycling yard, warehouse, or industrial environment
• Must be able to stand, bend, lift, push, pull, and move throughout the shift
• Must be able to work outdoors and in changing weather conditions
• Must be able to follow directions and work safely around equipment
• Previous general labor, warehouse, recycling, construction, or yard experience is a plus
• Must be able to pass all required pre-employment screenings

The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, safety-minded, and comfortable with physical labor. This role is a good fit for someone with warehouse, recycling, construction, landscaping, manufacturing, or general labor experience.
