Job Description
** POSITION:
** Production Associate – Solderer
*
* REPORTS TO:

** Cell Team Leader
** AREA:
** Production
*
* QUALIFICATIONS:

*** High school education or equivalent
* Ability to read and understand assembly documentation
* Hand dexterity and hand/eye coordination
* Verbal and written communication skills
* Knowledge of related tools and equipment
* Works well in team environment
* IPC-A-610 certification
* IPC-J-STD-001 Certified in soldering for both Thru-hole and SMT
* ** DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:
*** Assemble and inspect electrical panels/circuit boards/assemblies per related documentation and drawings
* Trim and form leaded parts
* Use a soldering iron to build basic electrical assemblies per the related documentation
* Properly fill out production documentation
* Communicate with Cell Team Leaders on parts shortages and problems
* Final assembly and/or pack and ship as required
* Rotate to different workstations and different cells as needed
* As required – complete hour-by-hour forms or other documentation for cycle time/performance analysis
* Component preparation, placement, and installation
* Mechanical assembly as required
* Participate in training and certification programs to ensure job knowledge and skills set requirements are updated regularly
* Perform hand soldering, inspection, and touch-up of thru-hole/SMT, mixed assemblies and custom parts as per specifications and IPC workmanship standards
* Perform rework of thru-hole/SMT, mixed assemblies and custom parts as per specifications and IPC workmanship standards
