Production Associate – Solderer

POSITION:
Production Associate – Solderer
REPORTS TO:
Cell Team Leader
AREA:
Production
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school education or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand assembly documentation
- Hand and dexterity and hand/eye coordination
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of related tools and equipment
- Works well in team environment
- IPC-A-610 certification
- IPC-J-STD-001 Certified in soldering for both Through-hole and SMT
DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:
- Assemble and inspect electrical panels/circuit boards/assemblies per related documentation and drawings
- Trim and form leaded parts
- Use a soldering iron to build basic electrical assemblies per the related documentation
- Properly fill out production documentation
- Communicate with Cell Team Leaders on parts shortages and problems
- Final assembly and/or pack and ship as required
- Rotate to different workstations and different cells as needed
- As required – complete hour-by-hour forms or other documentation for cycle time/performance analysis
- Component preparation, placement, and installation
- Mechanical assembly as required
- Participate in training and certification programs to ensure job knowledge and skills set requirements are updated regularly
- Perform hand soldering, inspection, and touch-up of thru-hole /SMT, mixed assemblies and custom parts as per specifications and IPC workmanship standards
- Perform rework of thru-hole /SMT, mixed assemblies and custom parts as per specifications and IPC workmanship standards
