Position Summary

The UNM Bookstores are seeking a proactive and creative student to contribute to the success oftheir marketing initiatives. Reporting directly to the Sr. Marketing Representative, the Marketing Assistant will play an integral role in advancing the bookstores’ marketing efforts.
Responsibilities include developing compelling social media content, such as short-form videos,stories, and posts. This role also involves appearing on camera to highlight products, so a willingness to be featured in content is preferred.
The Marketing Assistant will also organize photoshoots to capture product and promotional images using a digital camera, including photographing merchandise and individuals using or wearing products. A strong visual eye and sense of composition are essential.
The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic student with a strong work ethic who thrives in a creative,team-oriented environment and has a solid foundation in social media management and product photography.

Preferred QualificationsEnrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for Fall and Winter Break semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
- Experience with social media management platforms
- Experience with marketing and communications

- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Project management skills
- Availability of up to 20 hours per week during regular business hours
