Summary: Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiovascular care and be committed to providing high-quality patient care in our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift.
The Cath Lab/EP Nurse duties include but are not limited to the patient assessment, administration of medications, moderate sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, circulating and scrubbing during EP procedures and other procedures scheduled in our invasive procedure labs. A cardiac cath lab nurse specializes in assisting with catheterizations and monitoring/examining patients prior to procedures, as well as during and after. They also administer medications and assist the medical team in whatever they may need during the procedure.

- Assist in the preparation and care of patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and other interventional procedures.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and provide necessary care during procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about procedures, treatments, and post-procedure care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
- Associate's degree in Nursing required.
- State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
- Required Certification from either AHA, ASHI, or Red Cross.
- BLS certification required for all RN roles.
- ACLS certification required (Emergency Department, Critical Care, Cardiovascular Lab, GI Lab, Interventional Radiology, Progressive Care, Surgical Services Pre-Op and Recovery Room).
- PALS certification required (Children Services, Cardiovascular Lab, Emergency Department, GI Lab, Interventional Radiology, Surgical Services Pre-Op and Recovery Room).
