7 hours/week flexible during Monday - Friday 6:30 am to Noon

Job Summary

The Nurse Practitioner / Physician Associate provides health care services to patients under the direction and responsibility of a physician.

Med Mark Treatment Center is an innovative physician practice that primarily provides advanced withdrawal management services to those addicted to opioids and alcohol. Our unique approach coupled with aftercare and naltrexone/Vivitrol® therapy has helped thousands of people free themselves from addiction to opioids, including prescribed narcotics, heroin, fentanyl, Suboxone®/Buprenorphine products, and Methadone in addition to alcohol.

Roles And Responsibilities
  • Patient/Client Care
  • Examine patients and perform comprehensive physical examinations; compile patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination; refer to physician as needed.
  • Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as X‑ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests, and interpret test results for deviation from normal.
  • Prescribe medications following strict protocols established by contractual agreements.
  • Confere with patient’s private physician(s) as needed.
  • Counsel patients and help them understand their limitations and abilities.
  • Act as a resource person for decisions, planning, and policies affecting the health of patients and staff.
  • Serve as a clinic in-service resource.
  • Oversee the continuum of care process for patients.
  • Provide patient education specific to various disease processes.
  • Maintain patient, employee, and computer confidentiality.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner or physician associate program.
  • Must be currently licensed in the state of employment/practice.
  • Drug rehabilitation/training knowledge required.
  • Must pass a satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
